The Secrets of the Moon
“A place. A place and upon that you balance and exist… and there you can advance endlessly, otherwise nothing else exists any longer … “ Odysseas Elytis
The influence of the Moon on Earth and on humans has now been recognised scientifically, although it has always been taken into account. Anyone who works in nature knows how necessary it is to follow her rhythm.
The moon swells all the waters of the Earth:
The power of the tides in all oceans is connected with the phases of the moon. The moon also has an influence on the waters of the human body, from a woman’s cycle to our emotions, as emotions belong to the water element.
In Qigong and especially in Zhi Neng Qigong, the field prevailing during the days of the new moon and the full moon is considered extremely conducive to practice. Everyone, wherever they are on Earth, can practice Zhineng Qigong or meditation on these nights, thus participating in the creation of a powerful collective energy field that favors healing and spiritual evolution.
The energy of the moon is Yin, unlike the Sun whose energy is Yang. But when there is a full moon, this satellite reaches the maximum of its Yang energy and transmits light in the night, like a sun in the dark sky!
But as soon as the moon is in its zenith, a timeless pause is created before the waning moon begins its return to its Yin nature. The maximum Yin expression of the moon is the new moon with the complete absence of illumination.
So, in the heart of the full moon and the new moon, there is a pause. It is inside the pause that the reversal of motion is prepared. At this subtle point, where waxing ends and the waning has not yet begun, there is a total lack of motion, an entirety within the vast void. This vacuum is in tune with the absolute Void of the Tao, the Divine Primordial Energy. That’s why these days are so special!
At that time, invaluable possibilities are offered to those who listen to the echo of Heaven on Earth. It is a portal, a pause in time, a passage.
The same happens with the human breath and the possibilities it offers for spiritual development – where the inhalation ends and before the exhalation begins (and vice versa), there is a pause. This is the reason breathing techniques are so important and often practiced, both in religions and in spiritual schools.
The cycle of the Moon is nothing less than a reflection of the breath of the earth!
