THE ALCHEMY OF LEMNOS
With the Teachers Xi XiaoFeng and Genevieve Tsobanoglou
28 May – 1 June 2026
DUE TO A SEVERE BACK INJURY TEACHER XI CANCELLED ALL WORKSHOPS IN EUROPE, SO I’LL BE LEADING THE RETREAT AS I USUALLY DO.
ZHINENG QIGONG AND MEDITATION RETREAT
Join us for a transformational journey with deep healing on a pristine island which carries a unique energetic signature. There, the Yang Fire of Hephaistos, god of the forge and inner alchemy, meets the Yin of the Earth and the mythical hegemony of the Lemnian women. A retreat in which an exceptional unspoiled volcanic nature, Greek mythology, powerful Qigong and meditative practices will blend together for self-discovery, healing and joy.
This year, with the participation of Xi Xiaofeng, our beloved Zhineng Qigong Master from China, who was trained directly by Dr. Pang Ming, founder of Zhineng Qigong. we will explore practices to allow our Shen (spirit) to shine through the body with clarity, love and ease. We’ll concentrate on Heart, Spleen and kidneys to bring balance and harmony among the elements of Fire, Earth and water.
Genevieve will unveil the connection between our inner self and the energy carved into this island by mythology and by the forces of nature.

The places we will visit:
The places we will visit:
A tiny island crowned by the church of Saint Nicholas emerges from the sea, accessible by a narrow walking path over the water. It is a secluded spot for stillness, quiet observation, and meditation.
Faraklo is a surreal landscape of smooth, bubble-like lava formations in golden and reddish hues. Shaped by ancient volcanic forces and the sea, its extraordinary patterns feel almost otherworldly, offering a rare and unforgettable experience.
A touch of the desert in the heart of the north Aegean sea. The “Thick Sands” as the locals call them, are an impressive phenomenon of sand dunes covering an area of 70 acres.
Hephaistia was the major ancient city dedicated to Hephaestus, god of fire and craft. Flourishing from the Archaic to the Roman period, it featured temples, baths, and a well-preserved ancient theatre, which we will visit.
Alikes is one of Lemnos most important coastal wetlands, historically used for salt harvesting. Today, it is a protected natural habitat, home to migratory birds such as flamingos and herons. Its serene landscape invites quiet reflection and connection with nature.
Nestled among pristine rock formations, the ancient chapel of the Virgin Mary Kakaviotissa stands roofless, open to sky and silence. The path leading to it reveals a wild and untouched nature, offering a contemplative and sacred space that invites presence and reflection.

I want to thank Genevieve for this wonderful trip together. From the very first night, when we walked in gratitude towards a tiny island with a little church on it, right from the 1 st step I thought: this is it! This is where I want to be!
The words you share from your heart make emotions bubble to the surface…less mind, more sensation. -

For me, it was a very different workshop, and it left me with a sweet and calm energy. As you said, I’m very structured in my approach to organization, and here I had the opportunity to go with the flow of the group without any set boundaries. Of course, part of me wanted more qigong, but what we did was exactly what I needed! It opened doors and stirred emotions within me. Your dedication to the group and your love really touched me, as did the whole group. Thank you so much for everything you give us. Keep me posted on what’s next. Lots of love.

Even with people I met for the first time, I felt a very strong connection—you’re the one who
makes that happen, Genevieve. You create an environment where everyone feels trust, safety,
beauty, serenity, and heartfelt communication. What you’ve been teaching us all these
years—we can feel it among us. Thank you all! -

Thank you very much for organizing the seminar in Lemnos.
The way you shared your knowledge and love with us, the choice of topic in combination with the island, and the wonderful people in the group all contributed to a delightful and very positive experience. Until we meet again,
